Spider-Verse Rumors Are Wrong Says Christopher Miller

Over the weekend saw the rumor that Sony scrapped Beyond the Spider-Verse, the third film in the popular animated movie franchise.

However, those rumors are wrong.

Both Christopher Miller and the composer behind the movies shot down the claims on X.

“Nothing has been scrapped,” Miller tweeted, shooting down the rumor. “The reels are coming along nicely.”

Likewise, Spider-Verse composer, Daniel Pemberton, replied to the rumors via X.

“Don’t really ever want to weigh in on this sort of stuff BUT would you ever believe there could sometimes be stuff on the internet that might not always be particularly accurate? Hmmmm…” he tweeted.

The rumors may have started as a result of the recent report that Sony is ditching Phil Lord and Chris Miller from their Marvel TV contract over a budget feud involving the Spider-Noir live-action series. Lord and Miller signed a five-year TV deal with Sony starting in 2019 which ends in 2024.

Beyond the Spider-Verse is still in development and currently has no release date.
