Marvel Developing Inhumans Anime Series With Vin Diesel?

That rumored Inhumans reboot in the MCU featuring Vin Diesel may be happening on Disney+ as new leaks offer up the details.

In addition to the surprise announcement of Eyes of Wakanda, it is learned Marvel Studios is developing a new animated series about a group of “ancient cosmic beings” on Earth.

The info comes from scooper Daniel RPK who recently said Pedro Pascal is starring in the Fantastic Four movie as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic.

The description of the untitled Marvel animated series offers Anime is an influence on this show and:

It will have a diverse group of leads. A clandestine group of ancient cosmic beings undercover on Earth are trying to protect the world without being discovered by humans. They find themselves entangled in a comic battle that could reshape the fate of the universe.

Eternals? Inhumans?

The description does sound a lot like the Eternals, so maybe instead of an Eternals sequel, Marvel Studios is developing an anime-inspired Eternals animated series (or both).

Here is the synopsis for the movie:

Marvel Studios’ Eternals features an exciting new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s most ancient enemy, the Deviants.

However, the description also fits with the Inhumans and recall, Anson Mount did say a reboot is underway in the MCU with Vin Diesel.

“People might not know this, but in the sort of Hollywood trades, there’s rumored to be a negotiation going on with Disney+ to reattempt this. And apparently…it’s well-known that Vin [Diesel] has always wanted to play Black Bolt, so there’s some kind of negotiations going on,” the actor said back in 2019.

Marvel TV did develop that awful Inhumans series that was released on IMAX and ABC, so maybe Kevin Feige wants to take another swing at them but in animated form? Anime and Manga are crushing Marvel right now, so it might not be a bad choice.
