Jeremy Renner not only plays a hero on the big screen ā heās a hero in real life too, having just saved us from Hawkeye Season 2 starring Hailee Steinfeld, which likely would have been even more woke than the original.

The Disney+ Hawkeye series embarrassingly replaces Renner with Steinfeld, who is the best archer ever. Itās so bad that they mock Renner and the character by having him become trapped in a Christmas tree, where Steinfeldās Kate Bishop has to shoot him down.

Hawkeye also begins the emasculation of Vincent DāOnofrioās Kingpin in the MCU, which continued in the recent Daredevil: Born Again series that no one watched.

Renner is also not confirmed for the new Avengers movies, while Steinfeld has seemingly confirmed sheās back as Kate Bishop, who was also featured in that post-credit scene in The Marvels with Iman Vellaniās Ms. Marvel. The scene steals from the Iron Man post-credit scene with Robert Downey Jr. and Nick Fury forming the Avengers, while Ms. Marvel and Bishop seemingly form the Young Avengers (rumors offer that the actors are now too old).

What did Jeremy Renner say about Hawkeye Season 2?
While speaking with High Performance, Renner reveals Disney/Marvel wanted to pay him half the money he made in Season 1. While Renner doesnāt say it specifically, that sounds like Renner would be in the series, potentially half as much. Of course, that would mean Hawkeye Season 2 would be all about the woke Hailee Steinfeld Kate Bishop in the M-She-U.
Another big possibility is that they wanted to cut Rennerās pay grade because Disney has cut all the MCU budgets on Disney+. Theyāre no longer getting hundreds of millions of dollars a show as a result of the poor viewership.
āThey asked me to do Season 2, and they offered me half the money. Iām like, āWell, itās going to take me twice the amount of work for half the amount of money, and eight months of my time, essentially, to do it for half the amount,āā he said.
Renner explains he thinks the reason for the pay cut was because of the accident that nearly cost him his life when he got run over by a snowplow.
āIām like, āIām sorry? Why? Did you think Iām only half the Jeremy because I got ran over? Maybe thatās why you want to pay me half of what I made on the first season,āā he said.
Renner did add it wasnāt Marvel making the pay cut or even Disney but the accountants (again, budgets have been massively cut).
āThis is not Marvel, mind you. This is like, just Disney, not even really Disney. Itās just the penny pinchers, the accountants. I told them to go fly a kite. I mean, just at the at the insult offer. So we didnāt see eye to eye on it,ā Renner continued, adding that heās not ruling out a return to Hawkeye in the future. āSadly, I still love the character. Iād still love to do it, but I I had to defend myself. I didnāt ask for any more money, mind you. Just pay me what I made made the first season. So itās all disheartening that that didnāt happen, but thatās fine. Iām happy to let that go, because my bodyās probably thanking me, time and time again, that Iām not doing it right now. But weāll see.ā
