LeBron James gives The Odyssey another big spotlight
The post adds more heat to a movie that already made noise at CinemaCon, where Nolan unveiled new footage for theater owners.
Reports out of the event said the footage showed a large-scale Trojan Horse attack and continued selling the movie as a massive theatrical experience.

The Odyssey release info
Universal has set The Odyssey for a theatrical release on July 17, 2026. The official site also says the film is shot entirely with IMAX film cameras, which fits Nolan’s usual push for premium large-format exhibition.
Matt Damon is playing Odysseus, with the cast also including Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, and Benny Safdie.

NBA play-in tournament continues tonight on Amazon
The NBA tie-in also comes as the 2026 SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament wraps up on Prime Video.
Amazon says Prime Video is the exclusive home for all six play-in games, and both Amazon and NBA coverage list April 17 as the final night of the tournament. The Hornets play the Magic, and the Warriors battle the Suns for playoff spots.
Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs starts tomorrow.
That gives The Odyssey a strong crossover moment, with LeBron helping push the movie right as playoff attention spikes. For Universal, it is another way to keep Nolan’s film front and center after the new CinemaCon footage made a big impression.
