It’s claimed that early tracking for Avengers: Doomsday is strong, ahead of any new footage that might be released at next week’s CinemaCon.
While the footage isn’t confirmed and likely won’t be released online, THR reports that the Marvel film is one of the biggest pieces of Disney’s upcoming slate and suggests CinemaCon would be the right moment to show exhibitors that the movie can deliver.
Things have been quiet regarding Avengers: Doomsday since the release of the character teaser trailers, so with CinemaCon kicking off on Monday, it could be possible that Disney and Marvel start to ramp up promotion, though the movie is still eight months away.
What THR is saying about Doomsday
In its CinemaCon preview, THR said Disney is expected to “pull out all the stops” with star power and filmmakers for its presentation.
The outlet specifically highlighted Avengers: Doomsday as a mystery title that now would be an “opportune time” to prove itself, while adding that sources say the film is “exploding on long-lead tracking.”
What that means is that studios and exhibitors are already seeing signs that Avengers: Doomsday could be a huge movie before the main marketing campaign even fully kicks in.
THR’s report does not amount to an official confirmation that footage will be shown. But it does strongly suggest Doomsday is one of the titles Disney could use to make noise at the event, especially since Marvel has kept details close to the vest.
CinemaCon starts Monday in Las Vegas
CinemaCon 2026 runs from April 13 through April 16 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which lines up with the Monday-through-Thursday window now approaching.
The event is the major annual gathering for theater owners and studios, making it the perfect place for Disney to show off its biggest upcoming movies.
Disney’s official CinemaCon presentation is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. local time. So if Marvel is planning any kind of Avengers: Doomsday reveal for exhibitors, that is the slot to watch.
Disney could also be showing off Toy Story 5 and The Mandalorian & Grogu, possibly even Star Wars: Starfighter.
