Rumors are heating up that Sony could finally release the first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer as soon as next week.
Trailer rumor points to next Wednesday
One claim making the rounds says the trailer could drop on Wednesday, March 18.
Another rumor says Sony may hold it for Ryan Gosling’s Project Hail Mary, which hits theaters on March 20, 2026, and could give the preview a big-screen launch in front of that release.
Nothing has been confirmed by Sony or Marvel, but both possibilities fit the usual rollout window for a summer tentpole.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is officially set to open July 31, 2026, which puts March and April right in that four-month marketing window.

Why Project Hail Mary makes sense
If Sony goes with Project Hail Mary, the plan would be simple. Drop the trailer online, then attach it to theaters the same week so fans get the big-screen version right away.
That would be a smart move for a movie like Brand New Day.
Project Hail Mary is a major sci-fi release with Ryan Gosling and should pull the kind of audience that overlaps with comic book and blockbuster fans. It would give Sony a strong launch platform without waiting much longer.

CinemaCon is still on the table
Another option is CinemaCon, which runs April 13 through April 16 in Las Vegas.
Sony already used CinemaCon last year to officially announce the Brand New Day title, so it would not be surprising if the studio returned with trailer footage or a full public release there.
That timeline also makes sense. If Sony wants to keep the first trailer tied to an event, CinemaCon would be the obvious place to do it.

A trailer already leaked once
This would not be the first time footage from Spider-Man: Brand New Day has made noise online.
Back in December, a leaked trailer surfaced from what was described as a controlled preview environment. Sony reportedly worked to remove the footage, and no official high-quality version was released. Earlier descriptions of that leak claimed the footage teased multiple New York threats, a possible villain turn for Sadie Sink’s character, and a Punisher reveal with Jon Bernthal.
So fans have already had a taste of what may be coming. The question now is when Sony decides to make it official.

What seems most likely
Right now, the safest bet is that a trailer arrives either next week or at CinemaCon.
Next week would line up with the release of Project Hail Mary and kick off the summer movie push. CinemaCon would give Sony a bigger event-style moment. Both options make more sense than waiting too much longer with the movie set for the end of July.
Until Sony says otherwise, it is all still rumor. But the timing is right, and Brand New Day looks due for its first real marketing push.
