The Mandalorian & Grogu Gets New Spot With Fresh Din Djarin and Grogu Footage

A new spot for The Mandalorian & Grogu has been released, and while much of it pulls from the recent trailer, there are a couple of fresh shots mixed in.

One of the standout moments offers a new look at Din Djarin and Grogu flying toward their ship, followed by a small beat aboard the craft as the footage keeps the focus on the duo heading into their big-screen adventure.

New footage keeps the spotlight on Din and Grogu

The new promo doesn’t reinvent the marketing, but it does give fans another reason to pay attention.

The added footage of Din and Grogu moving toward the ship helps sell the movie’s fast-moving action and keeps the bond between the two front and center, which has always been the main draw of the franchise.

Marketing for The Mandalorian & Grogu is ramping up

With release now just over two months away on May 22, 2026, Disney and Lucasfilm clearly look to be shifting the campaign into a heavier push.

The official trailer dropped in recent weeks, a Big Game spot was also released last month, there is the Empire Magazine spread, and now this latest TV spot adds another layer to the rollout as Star Wars returns to theaters for the first time since The Rise of Skywalker in 2019.

Star Wars heads back to theaters in May

The official synopsis teases a galaxy still dealing with the fallout of the Empire’s collapse, as scattered Imperial warlords remain a threat.

Din Djarin and Grogu are once again pulled into the fight as the New Republic looks for help protecting what the Rebellion built.

Lucasfilm is also positioning the movie as a theatrical event, with the film set for release only in theaters and IMAX on May 22, 2026.
