The Academy has revealed the performance lineup for the 98th Oscars, with this year’s musical moments built around two films the producers call major pop culture drivers: Sinners and KPop Demon Hunters.
Executive producer and showrunner Raj Kapoor and executive producer Katy Mullan said the show’s music segments will lean into cinematic tributes that highlight how music and storytelling work together, using those two titles as the creative backbone.
KPop Demon Hunters brings “Golden” to the Oscars stage
The KPop Demon Hunters segment is described as starting with a mix of traditional Korean instrumentalists and dance to spotlight the folklore and cultural influences behind the animated hit.
EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, and REI AMI — the singing voices behind HUNTR/X — will perform the Oscar-nominated original song “Golden” from the film.
Sinners performance includes “I Lied To You” and a stacked lineup
The Sinners segment will focus on how music drives the film’s storytelling, adapted into a live, cinematic moment on the Oscars stage.
Miles Caton and Raphael Saadiq will perform the Oscar-nominated original song “I Lied To You.” They’ll be joined by Misty Copeland, Eric Gales, Buddy Guy, Brittany Howard, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Jayme Lawson, Li Jun Li, Bobby Rush, Shaboozey, and Alice Smith, in a tribute tied to the film’s distinctive visual style.
Josh Groban and Los Angeles Master Chorale also set to appear
The show will also feature appearances by Josh Groban and the Los Angeles Master Chorale, with more talent announcements expected as the ceremony gets closer.
When to watch the 98th Oscars
Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the 98th Oscars airs live Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT on ABC and will stream live on Hulu. The official live red carpet show begins at 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT.
The ceremony takes place at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles and will be carried live in more than 200 territories worldwide.
