The 98th Academy Awards are shaping up to be one of the most competitive in years, with Sinners and One Battle After Another emerging as the most nominated films.
The ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, honoring the best films of 2025.
Ten films are up for Best Picture, with Sinners, One Battle After Another, Marty Supreme, Hamnet, and Frankenstein all scoring nominations across multiple categories.
The Best Director category is stacked. Ryan Coogler (Sinners), Paul Thomas Anderson (One Battle After Another), and Chloé Zhao (Hamnet) all secured nods.
In the supporting categories, Sinners and One Battle After Another landed two nods, while Sentimental Value landed three acting nominations total.
