Zack Snyder just shared another treasure trove from his time in the DCEU, and this time it’s loaded with deep cuts.
Over the last 24 hours, Snyder has posted an extended set of behind-the-scenes photos from the Justice League shoot back in 2016, including rare shots of Gal Gadot suited up as Wonder Woman, Henry Cavill in his Superman suit with Ben Affleck’s armored Batman, Snyder on set directing scenes with the Amazons, even a shirtless training shot of Cavill mid-workout, and a black-and-white image of Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash, which Snyder has never posted before.
But that’s not all.
Snyder also shared several full pages of his original Justice League sequel storyboards, including key plot details that never made it to screen.

Snyder’s Unused Justice League 2 and 3 Storyboards
The boards — which fans may remember from the “SnyderVerse” exhibit in Dallas — outline the planned continuation of the DCEU following Zack Snyder’s Justice League, including:
- A post-apocalyptic Knightmare future ruled by Darkseid
- Batman leading a ragtag group of surviving Justice League members through the desert ruins of Gotham
- Flash attempting to reset the timeline
- The full-scale invasion of Earth by Darkseid’s forces
- The seven kingdoms (including Atlantis) uniting under Superman’s leadership

Snyder had originally planned the sequels as a massive two-part arc — ending with a Lord of the Rings-style finale featuring Wonder Woman and the Amazons, Aquaman and the seven kingdoms, and Superman leading humanity.

First-Ever Look at Ezra Miller’s Flash
Possibly the most interesting shot in the batch is a black-and-white portrait of Ezra Miller as Barry Allen wearing his “Black Freighter” Watchmen T-shirt, a subtle nod to Snyder’s Watchmen adaptation.
While promotional images of Miller’s Flash have been shared before, this marks the first time Snyder himself has posted a solo portrait of the actor from Justice League.
The image was likely taken during the 2016 shoot, well before The Flash movie was even in production.

Context and Timing
Snyder’s steady drip of archive images — including rare shots of Cavill, Gadot, Affleck, and now Miller — comes amid renewed fan speculation that the director may return to superhero films.
Snyder also recently confirmed his collaboration with Korean fitness YouTuber Gym Jong Kook and has been leaning into fan nostalgia by sharing stills from Man of Steel, BvS, and Justice League almost daily.

With Netflix now fully partnered with Snyder through his Rebel Moon universe and his past DCEU content still driving major fan engagement, fans are once again hoping for a SnyderVerse revival, or at least a proper conclusion to his planned arc.
Stay tuned. With Snyder, you never know what’s coming next.
