James Gunn just cleared up confusion about the Jimmy Olsen TV series and shut down a fake title in the process.
Gunn Denies “DC Crime” Title
In Deadline‘s report about the Skyler Gisondo–led Jimmy Olsen spinoff series, the outlet said the title was “DC Crime.” Gunn quickly shot that down on Threads, writing:
“Just FYI there has never been a project titled ‘DC Crime’ in development, not even as a working title. I don’t know where that came from but it’s weird.”
A fan then asked if this meant the entire project was fake or only the title. Gunn replied:
“Title.”

So the Jimmy Olsen series announced — with American Vandal creators Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda running the show — is legit. The rumored title is not.

Jimmy Olsen Series Moving Forward
As reported earlier, season one is set to center on Gorilla Grodd, with Gisondo returning as the Daily Planet photographer. Gunn and Peter Safran are executive producing.
David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan are said to be not appearing in the series.
At the same time the news hit about the Jimmy Olsen series, a DC V for Vendetta series was also announced with Gunn producing.
