Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair Trailer Released

Quentin Tarantino fans finally get the version they’ve been hearing about for two decades. Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair hits theaters December 5, 2025, and today the first official trailer dropped.

The release unites Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 into Tarantino’s original, uncut, unrated vision, complete with a brand-new anime sequence that’s never been seen before.

Starring Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu, Vivica A. Fox, Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah, Gordon Liu, Michael Parks, and David Carradine as Bill, the film returns as the full revenge saga Tarantino intended to release in 2003.

Trailer Released for Tarantino’s Full Cut

The trailer confirms what fans hoped: The Whole Bloody Affair is not just a stitched-together version of both films. It’s the director’s full edit with restored material, sharper transitions, and new structural changes, including:

  • A restored sequence from the anime team behind the original O-Ren backstory
  • Extended fight material
  • A classic mid-film intermission—just like Tarantino planned years ago

The new anime segment is teased visually in the trailer, confirming at least one new action sequence involving the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. Watch below.

What’s Different From Vol. 1 and Vol. 2?

For years, The Whole Bloody Affair has only been screened in limited events—mainly Tarantino’s own theatre in Los Angeles and a handful of festivals.

This new theatrical release is the first wide release ever and includes:

  • The original House of Blue Leaves sequence in full, with the longer Japanese cut
  • Reworked pacing that removes the old cliffhanger split
  • Extended scenes for Bill, Budd, and Elle Driver
  • The new anime sequence set during The Bride’s hunt

Fans have been waiting since 2007 for this version after Tarantino publicly promised it would “come out someday.” That day is finally locked in.

The Story: The Bride’s Full Revenge Saga

Uma Thurman returns as The Bride, an assassin left for dead after Bill and the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad massacre her wedding rehearsal.

The full cut follows her entire revenge path, including:

  • The confrontation with O-Ren Ishii in Tokyo
  • The showdown with Elle Driver
  • Budd’s desert chapter
  • And finally, the complete endgame with Bill

Presented as a single film, the story carries more weight as her mission unfolds with no break between volumes.
