Alex Ross X Account Posts, Deletes Superman Image After Charlie Kirk Shooting

Legendary comic book artist Alex Ross’ official X account sparked controversy after posting — and then deleting — an image of Superman in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

The Deleted Post

Ross’ account shared artwork of Superman with bullets bouncing off his chest just hours after Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed while speaking at Utah Valley University. The timing of the post drew backlash, with critics accusing Ross or whoever manages his account of mocking the incident.

Worth pointing out is that the art also depicts a bullet bouncing off Superman’s left side of his neck, which is where Charlie Kirk was shot.

The image was later deleted without explanation; however, users on X took screenshots.

Not the First Time

This isn’t the first time Ross’ X account has come under fire for politically charged posts. In the past, the account shared artwork of Joe Biden and George W. Bush that critics also labeled controversial.
