Drew Harrison, a senior staff character artist at Sucker Punch Productions, has been fired following her comments celebrating the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
What Happened
After news broke of Kirk’s death, Harrison posted on Bluesky: “I hope the shooter’s name is Mario so that Luigi knows his bro got his back.” The remarks quickly spread online and sparked outrage, with calls for Sony and Sucker Punch to take action.

In follow-up posts, Harrison confirmed she had lost her position, writing on BlueSky: “If standing up against fascism is what cost me my dream job I held for 10 years, I would do it again 100x stronger.”
When asked if she needed financial support, Harrison declined, saying: “I don’t need any money! Ghost of Yotei is an amazing game made by 200 people I love dearly. Donate to families in Gaza, the Trevor Project or ACLU!”
