Marvel Studios once again teases an MCU reboot with the first synopsis for Avengers: Doomsday, which teases the “new era of the MCU.”
The description fits with recent comments made by returning directors Joe and Anthony Russo.

Avengers: Doomsday synopsis
The Avengers: Doomsday synopsis comes thanks to the official Marvel Studios display at the Osaka Comic-Con.
At the convention, Marvel has the “Road To Avengers” display, and displays for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Thunderbolts/New Avengers, Captain America: Brave New World, Deadpool & Wolverine, and more.
The description offers:
The highly anticipated new Avengers movie, “Avengers: Doomsday,” will be released in one year.
Seven years after the excitement of “Endgame,” the ever-evolving Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to reach a new climax.
Robert Downey Jr. makes a sensational return to the MCU as the villain Doctor Doom! The Russo brothers, who led “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Endgame” to success will once again serve as directors.
“It’s going to be the most epic two-part story in the last decade with many characters and intertwining stories.” — Joe Russo
Let’s move forward together toward the new era of the MCU.

What did the Russo brothers say about the MCU reboot?
In a recent interview, the Russo brothers said Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars won’t be an end as Infinity War and Endgame were, but that the new Avengers movies mark a new beginning:
“What’s compelling about these two new Avengers movies is they’re a beginning. It’s a new beginning. We told an ending story, now we’re going to tell a beginning story.”
Part of that MCU reboot will be the X-Men following Secret Wars, as Kevin Feige has confirmed a “new age of mutants” will follow. Recently saw the news that Thunderbolts director Jake Schreier is being eyed to direct the X-Men reboot, with the script from The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes writer Michael Lesslie.
What remains to be seen is if/how/when The Avengers will get rebooted.
