Rachel Zegler isn’t wearing the Disney crown for long. After headlining the Snow White remake that tanked at the box office, the actress pivots to a low-budget indie flick where she plays the daughter of a pill-popping ex-punk rocker mom, played by Marisa Tomei.
Zegler starred recently in Disney’s Snow White, which only hit $200 million this past weekend. However, the film had a massive budget and failed to make money, leading to a reported loss for Disney of at least $100 million. Zegler has been the center of controversy due to her comments about the original movie and politics, and a Disney producer’s son has blamed her for the movie’s failure.

What’s next for Rachel Zegler?
Now she lines up her next movie, the comedy drama, She Gets It From Me, which has a no-name director attached and comes from a production company that hasn’t had any major hits. The flick doesn’t even sound like it’s guaranteed to happen as it’s currently being shopped around at Cannes.
