Hey! Wouldn’t you know! As we countdown to Superman Day on Friday, and to celebrate the anniversary of Jimmy Olsen, James Gunn shares a new image of himself! Along with Skyler Gisondo.
As I previously mentioned, it’s pretty funny that the entire marketing strategy surrounding Superman seems to be all about James Gunn.
Again, not sure what that says: Is there no marketing budget? Does Gunn have a big ego?! Maybe Gunn is really the biggest star surrounding the film???

Celebrating Jimmy Olsen’s anniversary
Anyway, Gunn posted a new behind-the-scenes image on social media stating, “Today is the anniversary of Superman’s Best Pal Jimmy Olsen. @SkylerGisondo’s performance in #Superman is gonna knock you out of your socks. Photo by Jess Miglio.”
A couple of the comments on Gunn’s X are pretty funny as fans are starting to pick up on the fact that Gunn seems to be promoting himself. Another fan made a funny comment about not killing off Jimmy Olsen in his first appearance (ouch, Zack Snyder!).
Jimmy Olsen first officially appeared as Jimmy Olsen on April 15 in The Adventures of Superman radio show.
Similar to Snyder, Gunn also recently crushed hopes in regards to Superman Day, as apparently there will be no second trailer released. Hey, this is DC we are talking about, so getting your hopes up is nothing new (nyuk nyuk nyuk).
