Supergirl Trailer Confirmed For Tuesday As James Gunn Teases New Footage With Superman

James Gunn has confirmed a new Supergirl trailer drops on Tuesday.

Gunn made the announcement by releasing a new spot featuring David Corenswet as Superman. The teaser includes the line, “Supergirl will call you back tomorrow,” while also reminding fans the movie lands in theaters June 26.

The spot is brief, but it puts Superman front and center in the push for the new trailer. That should only add to the talk about how much David Corenswet’s Man of Steel factors into the movie.

James Gunn starts the trailer rollout

Gunn sharing the teaser himself makes it clear DC Studios is kicking off the next wave of promotion for Supergirl.

The short clip does not reveal much, but it is enough to get attention because it uses Superman to tee up the full trailer.

That is also notable considering recent chatter surrounding how much Superman appears in the film.

Now fans will get a better look on Tuesday when the full trailer drops.

Supergirl hits theaters in June

Supergirl stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El in DC Studios’ next big-screen release.

The movie follows Kara after an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home. She then reluctantly teams up with an unlikely companion for what is described as an interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.

Craig Gillespie directs from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira.

Cast and production details

Along with Alcock, the cast includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa.

Peter Safran and James Gunn are producing.

The film is based on DC characters, with Supergirl created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars P. Winther serve as executive producers.

Behind the camera, the film includes Rob Hardy as director of photography, Neil Lamont as production designer, Tatiana S. Riegel as editor, Anna B. Sheppard and Michael Mooney as costume designers, Geoffrey Baumann as visual effects supervisor, Susan Jacobs as music supervisor, and Claudia Sarne as composer.

Release info

Supergirl opens in theaters and IMAX across North America on June 26, 2026.

The international rollout begins June 24, 2026.
