Zack Snyder Shares Wonder Woman With Batman’s Gauntlets As Justice League Countdown Rolls On

Zack Snyder is not slowing down with the Justice League anniversary posts.

As the March 18 anniversary of Zack Snyder’s Justice League gets closer, Snyder has now shared a new image of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, this time wearing Batman’s gauntlets.

“@gal_gadot my Wonder Woman #zacksnydersjusticeleague,” Snyder posted on Instagram.

Zack Snyder keeps spotlight on his Justice League heroes

The image adds another piece to Snyder’s ongoing countdown, which has already included posts featuring Henry Cavill’s Superman, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, Wayne T. Carr’s Green Lantern, and Darkseid.

Now Snyder has turned to Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, but with a twist. The added Batman gauntlets make the image stand out and give it a different look from the usual Wonder Woman promo stills.

Like the rest of Snyder’s recent posts, this one feels chosen for a reason. He keeps highlighting his Justice League lineup as the anniversary approaches, and each post is giving fans something new to focus on.

Gal Gadot has worn Batman gear before

This is not the first time Gal Gadot has been seen in Batman-related gear.

Back in 2018, Gadot shared a black-and-white image from a Halloween photoshoot showing herself in the Batsuit and added the simple caption, “I’m Batman.”

Then in 2021 for Batman Day, Gadot posted a video of herself putting on the Batman cowl. In the clip, after crew members helped place the heavy mask on her head, Gadot joked, “It’s not that bad. Or my head is not that big.”

As the crew played along, someone joked she looked like “Batman’s sister,” while a makeup artist added lipstick and mascara. Gadot captioned the post, “Bringing out my inner bat. Happy Batman day! #BatmanDay #Batmanday2021.”

Another post fans will read into

Snyder’s latest Wonder Woman image is likely to keep the speculation going about what he may be building toward for March 18.

At minimum, he is continuing to celebrate Zack Snyder’s Justice League by revisiting the heroes who made up his DC universe. But because he has been posting so consistently, and because the images keep feeling specific rather than random, fans are again reading this as part of a larger tease.

The Wonder Woman image may not be as obvious as the Superman, Green Lantern, or Darkseid posts, but it still keeps the full Snyder League front and center.
