Jason Vorhees is set to return in a big way as a “Jason Universe” is in development which includes highly anticipated new entertainment, games, immersive experiences and merchandise to celebrate the franchise’s upcoming 45th anniversary.
In development from Horror, Inc., the original owners of the Friday the 13th film franchise, includes the expanded prequel series Crystal Lake from A24 at the Peacock streaming service, with more announcements coming throughout 2024.

Barsamian added, “For decades, Jason shocked and thrilled audiences who kept coming back for more. We’re excited to work with Victor Miller and Marc Toberoff on new projects we’ll announce in the coming months.”
Miller is the writer of the original Friday the 13th movie that kicked off back in 1980 and spawned multiple movies, spinoffs, comics, games and more.
Toberoff is a producer known for the Piranha 3D movies, the recent Predator Prey movie, and the recent Hellraiser film.
