A viral marketing campaign has begun for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as three teasers have been released which tease that “the truth lies.”

The three teasers come about from the thetruthlies.com website which features a TV where fans can download and watch the videos.

The first teaser is from a found-footage perspective and features a group defacing Mount Rushmore; the second of posters going up, and the third is a newscast of monuments worldwide having been defaced.

“Trust no one. Open your eyes.”

That’s not all, as if you take a look at the page’s source code, the meta description teases more.

“You might remember a better time. But it was false. Trust no one. Open your eyes. Find the truth,” says the description.

Shepard Fairey

The source code also reveals a video with the title “Channel 2_Final_Shep Fairey_share.mp4,” which is the second video.

The video references American contemporary artist, activist and founder of OBEY Clothing, Shepard Fairey, who is known for the “Andre the Giant Has a Posse” sticker, the Obama “Hope” poster, The Mandela Mural, the We The People series, and more.

So maybe Shepard Fairey is the artist behind the art and posters featured in the teasers?
