Zack Snyder No Longer Involved With Justice League

It’s learned Zack Snyder is no longer involved with the Justice League movie.

Following a family tragedy, Zack Snyder stepped down from directing the Justice League movie, which saw Joss Whedon come on board to take over. It’s been said Joss Whedon has been involved in extensive reshoots and rewrites of  the Justice League movie, leading to question of just whose movie it is. Warner Bros. also recently gave Joss Whedon a writing credit on the movie leading to further speculation that the Justice League movie is more a Whedon film than a Snyder movie.

Now Zack Snyder lets it be known that he isn’t involved with Justice League.

In an article and interview with Zack Snyder at Wired about Snyder’s new short film available on the Vero social networking app, Snow Steam Iron, the article and Snyder offer:

But what about Justice League? He left his superhero team-up in capable hands when Whedon took over, but is he still involved? At least seeing it through? Not really. Snyder says it’d be “unfair in a lot of ways” for him to get involved again after being off the movie for so long. “I’m at a place where I feel excited about it and I’m happy for my guys and I love these people that are working on it, and they’re my family and I think they’re doing an amazing job,” he says. “But I’ve kind of just let them do their thing.”

The article does note that Zack Snyder is still involved in the DCEU as an executive producer, but it’s also said Zack Snyder will be busy doing his new projects, which includes teaching a class and working on his next movie, a drama, The Last Photograph, as well as his adaptation of Ayn Rand’s The Fountainhead.

Justice League has a November 17, 2017 release directed by Zack Snyder, with the story by Chris Terrio and Zack Snyder, the screenplay by Chris Terrio and Joss Whedon, and stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and Willem Dafoe an Atlantean, Nuidis Vulko.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
