The new X-Men movie, New Mutants, has started pre-production.
X-Men: The New Mutants is being directed by Josh Boone who recently took to Instagram to post a couple pics announcing they have started prepping for filming.
The pictures include a New Mutants birthday cake, as Boone celebrated his 38th birthday, and a pic of Boone at the Fox Studios lot.
The New Mutants movie is said to start filming next month in Montreal.
Details for the New Mutants movie include that it may feature the Demon Bear as a villain, the New Mutants movie will be different than the previous sc-fi aspects of the X-Men films and will be more like a “Stephen King meets John Hughes”-style horror movie, might be released Spring of 2018 and that Nat Wolff (who starred in Boone’s The Fault in Our Stars) is being eyed for the mutant Cannonball.
Other casting rumors surrounding New Mutants include Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) as Wolfsbane and Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch) as Magik.
