X-Men: Dark Phoenix Alternate Trailer Leaks Online

An international alternate X-Men: Dark Phoenix trailer has leaked online which offers a different approach than the trailer released last night.

The leaked trailer starts off with Sophie Turner as Jean Grey and Michael Fassbender as Magneto in what looks to be Genosha, followed by flashing back to Jean’s childhood with “The End” by The Doors playing on the radio.

From there, Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique is shown to a bald-headed James McAvoy as Charles Xavier seemingly trying to help Jean with whatever she is going through.

The trailer then takes us to the X-Men in what looks like some sort of confrontation scene at possibly Jean’s childhood home.

More from Magneto is shown, and then the villain, played by Jessica Chastain is introduced.

The trailer then heads back to the X-Mansion, and then more with Mystique and Charles, back to Genosha, Jean’s home, more from the X-Men including Beast, Magneto dons his helmet, some sort of funeral scene, and the trailer finishes with what looks to be a fully powered Jean Grey as the Phoenix — all the while The Doors is playing.

Even though it’s in a foreign language, it still comes off as rather cool. Maybe even better than last night’s trailer.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix

In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy. A new poster and banner have also been released for the flick.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix has a February 14, 2019 release directed by Simon Kinberg starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Sophie Turner, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain.
