Wokness Killed Han Solo Jokes Adam Driver On SNL

Adam Driver hosted Saturday Night Live where in his opening montage he joked that wokeness killed Harrison Ford’s Han Solo.

The actor played the son of Han Solo, Kylo Ren, in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. A scene in the movie features Kylo Ren stabbing his father in the stomach with a lightsaber killing him.

While on SNL, Driver first talked Christmas.

“I’m so excited to be back, especially during this time of year,” Driver said. “I love Christmas. It’s my favorite holiday, the food, the music, the family… But largely it’s because I have a very deep and personal relationship with Santa.”

Driver went on to say how he makes a Christmas list every year, and since he is here with everybody, he might as well share it.

“Usually I do it in private,” Driver said and joked, “Since we’re here, and I know Santa watches SNL. He hasn’t liked it since [Chris] Kattan left.”

Driver then proceeds to play the piano to talk to Santa asking for three pairs of Chinos and a giant Tesla metal truck that will pair with his “teeny tiny micro-penis.”

“I would liked for people to stop coming up to me on the street saying, ‘You killed Han Solo,’” he said. “I didn’t kill Han Solo, wokeness killed Han Solo.”

Driver’s comments about Star Wars on SNL also reference his recent appearance on Max’s Who’s Talking To Chris Wallace? where he said people coming up to him regularly happens all the time.

“Somebody reminds me about that every day,” Driver joked on the show. “Not every day but yeah, it used to be more but now it’s probably once a month somewhere.”

Driver also explained to Wallace how it felt filming Han Solo’s death scene with Ford.

“Obviously, John Williams’ [score] wasn’t playing in the background and it was very emotional actually, shooting it with Harrison. Harrison was so generous and contemplative and to me that was a great moment on set, even though it was his death,” he said.
