WB Said To Not Trust Zack Snyder’s Justice League Vision: Extended Cut In Doubt

WB Said To Not Trust Zack Snyder’s Justice League Vision: Extended Cut In Doubt

Following the disappointments of Man of Steel and Batman vs. Superman, it’s now being reported that Warner Bros. executives do not trust Zack Snyder’s vision for the DCEU and Justice League.

With Justice League looking like another disappointment (at least at the box office; I enjoyed it–as did many fans), it’s being rumored that a Zack Snyder Justice League extended version looks to be in doubt.

According to a Twitter user who writes for various sites, a Zack Snyder Justice League cut does exist, but it is in an unfinished state and would cost millions to complete. The rumor also states the Justice League Junkie XL music score is not finished.

Fans have started a petition to get WB to release the Justice League Zack Snyder version – said to be 3 hours – which has amassed over 100K signatures. If the rumor is legit, which makes sense as Zack Snyder’s cut probably wouldn’t have been finished by the time he left Justice League and Joss Whedon came on board, WB likely isn’t going to spend millions of dollars to release a new home video release of Justice League

The Batman vs. Superman Ultimate Edition was most likely an already complete cut, so not much had to be spent on that finished product.

We already know through leaked clips that Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut isn’t finished, so bear that in mind.

In my opinion, it more or less seems that WB wants to forget about the Zack Snyder DCEU and move away from his ideas for the Justice League.

I think it all started with Wonder Woman, as Geoff Johns had more involvement with that film than any previous DCEU movie.  Up next is Aquaman, which looks to be all James Wan, and following that is Shazam! which will be a lot different in tone than anything Snyder has done as well. Zack Snyder’s pick for Batman, Ben Affleck, looks to be about done with the DCEU, and there is even rumor Henry Cavill will be done with the Superman role (Cavill has one movie left on his contract).

I think it’s pretty safe to say the Zack Snyder era is over at DC (which regardless of the rumors is a mutual decision on WB and Snyder’s part I am guessing).
