Watch: Supergirl Lynda Carter Wonder Woman Easter Egg

Watch: Supergirl Lynda Carter Wonder Woman Easter Egg

Spoilers follow for Monday’s episode of Supergirl featuring Lynda Carter as the President of the United States.

As we all know, Lynda Carter played Wonder Woman in the 1970’s TV series, which this episode of Supergirl gave a reference to with a nod to Wonder Woman’s Invisible Jet.

The president was in National City to sign a new alien amnesty law, which would makes it legal for aliens to live amongst humans out in the open. The president requested that Supergirl be there to meet her on the tarmac. As the pres exited Air Force One, she was attacked by someone shooting fire out of their eyes (leading to speculation it was the escaped Mon-El).

Fast-forward to the end of the episode, Supergirl tells the president, “I still can’t believe I got to see Air Force One.” Lynda Carter replies back with the Wonder Woman Invisible Jet Easter Egg: “If you think that’s cool, you ought to see my other jet,” and winks. The coolness doesn’t stop there as the president walks away and is revealed to be an alien (so if you thought she was Wonder Woman from the ’70s, she’s not).

One a side note: Was anybody else expecting to see Lobo in the alien bar?!

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8pm ET on The CW starring Melissa Benoist.
