The Walking Dead Ratings Are At 6-Year Low

What was once a must-watch show is pretty much fast becoming its own title – literally – as things are going nowhere

This past Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead saw ratings drop again, which is a 6-year low for the series.

The Walking Dead came in at a 3.4 rating among the 18-49 age group, with 7.845 million people tuning in.

The rating is the lowest since episode 6 of Season 2 back in 2011, and the viewership is also the fewest since the next-to-last episode of Season 2

The decline in ratings certainly has to do with the Negan story, which again similar to the show’s title, is dragging on like a corpse drags its entrails.

The show has declined since killing fan-favorite characters Glenn and Abraham, with no likeable characters having replaced them.

AMC is also being hit by lawsuits from Walking Dead creator Robert Kirman and the series producers, which can only lead to additional problems (and potentially already has).

“The Walking Dead” airs Sundays at 9pm ET starring Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Chandler Riggs, Sonequa Martin-Green, Josh McDermitt, Ross Marquand, Christian Serratos, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
