Thunderbolts Title Gets A Mysterious Asterisk At CinemaCon

During Marvel’s big presentation at CinemaCon, Kevin Feige teased something mysterious for the Thunderbolts movie as the title features an asterisk for some reason.

Marvel also featured Deadpool & Wolverine in an f-bomb filled promo and the possible reformation of The Avengers in Captain America 4.

Regarding the Thunderbolts movie, it’s been said the flick has gone through massive changes which is known to include writers as well as actors.

So at CinemaCon, Kevin Feige revealed the title card for Thunderbolts which happens to feature an asterisk.

At first, fans thought it might mean a title change, but those attendees who were at CinemaCon have said Kevin Feige confirmed they are still using “Thunderbolts” for the title but Feige said, “We won’t talk about the asterisk until after release.”

Some fans still think something is up with the title and Marvel might be going with “Dark Avengers,” which in the comics were a team of Avengers made up of villains from the Thunderbolts formed by Norman Osborn as the Dark Avengers (Julia Louis-Dreyfus likely forms the team in the MCU).

Florence Pugh is likely the star

Recently also saw Florence Pugh show off the first behind-the-scenes footage to announce the start of filming.

A rumor offers Florence Pugh is the star of the movie, which seems to be the cast as Pugh has also said that Thunderbolts is more of a sequel to Black Widow. A report from THR has also said the entire teams dies at the end of the movie, but since the ending was revealed, it’s guessed the ending may have been changed (place your money on Florence Pugh surviving).

Thunderbolts gets released on May 2, 2025 directed by Jake Schreier and also stars Rachel Weisz as Melina, Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier; Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent; Olga Kurilenko as Taskmaster; David Harbour as Red Guardian, and Hannah John-Kamen returns as Ghost, with Lewis Pullman as Robert Reynolds The Sentry.
