The Boys Season 5 Casts Mason Dye As Bombsight

Amazon Prime Video has announced that The Boys Season 5 has cast Mason Dye as Bombsight.

Bombsight is an original character not found in the comics on which the show is based. However, the character was mentioned in The Boys Season 4 as a supe who starred in the 1950s Vought superhero film The Curse of Fu Manchu. Technically, this makes Bombsight the third oldest supe in The Boys universe.

The actor confirmed the casting on social media. “AHHHHH! So excited to be part of this,” Dye posted on his Instagram Story.

The Boys official Instagram also confirmed, “Let’s give a warm welcome to Mason Dye, joining as Bombsight in Season 5. More details, you ask? Ya know better by now.”

According to the trades, Mason Dye and Bombsight will likely appear in the upcoming prequel series Vought Rising which is also set to star Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy and Aya Cash as Stormfront.

The Boys Season 5 has also cast Daveed Diggs in an unknown role.

Mason Dye is known for playing Hawkins High basketball star Jason Carver in Stranger Things, Teen Wolf, Bosch, Roommates, Finding Carter, and more.

The Boys Season 5 is the last of the series and is set to star Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and Cameron Crovetti.
