Following the Fortnite Season 4 update which included new super hero skins, it’s learned The Avengers: Infinity War‘s Mad Titan himself, Thanos, is coming to the game in a limited time mashup starting Tuesday, May 8!
Thanos is coming to the Battle Royale mode, which will be the same except that the Infinity Gauntlet will be made available somewhere in the map–and equipped with all six of the Infinity Stones!
Whomsoever finds and equips it will transform into Thanos himself, wielding all the power that comes with him!
Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo actually reached out to Epic Games because they are such fans of Fortnite.
“Over the past few months, while we were editing Infinity War, we’d take breaks to hop on and get in a few games,” Joe exclusively told EW. “And then we started thinking, how cool would it be to have some kind of Avengers–Fortnite mashup? So we stalked Donald [Mustard, the worldwide creative director of Epic Games.].”
The “Infinity Gauntlet” mode will be available for free across all Fortnite Battle Royale-friendly platforms (i.e. PS4, Xbox, PC, Mac, and iOS).
