Following the big bowl teaser, now James Gunn follows up with a Superman NBA All-Star Game promo featuring himself, new Man of Steel David Corenswet, and Shaquille O’Neal who is no stranger to DC.
WB also released a new Minecraft Movie trailer for the NBA All-Star Game.
Shaq’s DC history
Shaq played John Henry Irons in the 1997 Steel movie which went in a different direction than the character from the comics. Steel bombed big time at the box office and was panned by critics and fans alike (8% Rotten Tomatoes Score and 19% fan score). The film only grossed $1.8 worldwide ($3.56M in today’s dollars).
Shaquille O’Neal also played himself in an episode of Static Shock in 2002 where he teamed up with Static Shock to battle villains.
