We may have a first look at Jason Momoa as the DCU’s main man, Lobo, courtesy of Supergirl set leaks, which further reveal a look at Milly Alcock as Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El.
Following playing Aquaman in the DCEU, James Gunn brought back Jason Momoa to play Lobo. Moma also recently wrapped filming on Supergirl.
Lobo set leaks?
Filming continues in London where drone footage once again leaks a look at the set. The scene looks to be taking place on an alien planet involving some sort of battle taking place. Milly Alock can be seen choreographing a fight.

That also might be DCU co-head James Gunn on set, too. It’s further claimed Jason Momoa is there as Lobo, though that appears to be unconfirmed.

Another image has surfaced online said to be of Jason Momoa as Lobo with his motorcycle, but again, it’s not clear if the image is legit.

That said, Jason Momoa has revealed he will have a comic book-accurate take on Lobo, so these set images are pretty promising.

Comic accurate look for Lobo in Supergirl
Recently, while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel, Momoa said his Lobo “rides a motorcycle, smokes cigars, loves Guinness… I mean come on dreadlocks.”
In another interview, Momoa added, “I don’t want to give away too much, but I mean, we look pretty dead on, exactly like the character, and he’s pretty rough and gruff and… I’ll say the bike’s really cool.”
Jason Momoa wraps
Momoa posted from London two days ago that he has finished filming on the Supergirl movie.
“THATS A WRAP ON LOBO so thankful to play this role,” he posted on Instagram. “And very thankful for my present mahalo kelly ben todd all the crew at @iamspecialized for my MINECRAFT present. Pink on pink S WORKS LEVO Your support is amazing this is the greatest bike I have ever ridden. Sworks motor is insane. LOVE U GUYS. All my aloha everyone. J.”

Supergirl release info
Supergirl gets released on June 26, 2026, directed by Craig Gillespie, with the script by Ana Nogueira.
Who stars?
Starring along side Milly Alocock includes Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, Matthias Schoenaerts as the villain, Krem of the Yellow Hills, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, and Emily Beecham as Alura, with Jason Momoa as Lobo.
Plot
The official plot details haven’t been released. The comic follows Ruthye Marye Knoll, a young alien warrior, who embarks on a galactic journey with Supergirl to hunt down Krem of the Yellow Hills, the villain who killed her father.
While Lobo wasn’t a part of the comic, the original plan revealed by comic writer Tom King was to include Lobo, but his DC Comics editors made the decision to nix the use of Lobo. King serves as a consultant to the DCU and producer on the Lanterns series.
Different than Superman
“We see the difference between Superman who was sent to Earth and raised by loving parents from the time he was an infant, versus Supergirl who was raised on a rock, a chip off Krypton, and watched everyone around her die and be killed in terrible ways for the first 14 years of her life, and then came to Earth when she was a young girl,” said Gunn at the press event from January 2023.
Gunn added, “She’s much more hardcore, she’s not exactly the Supergirl we’re used to seeing.”
