Warner Bros. Games and DC today debuted the second installment of the Suicide Squad Insider video series, which dives deeper into Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the upcoming third-person action-shooter in development by Rocksteady Studios.
Suicide Squad Insider Episode 2 gives fans a closer look at several Support Squad characters, including the Penguin, who is now an arms dealer able to help with upgrading weapons and crafting unique builds inspired by Star Labs, AmerTek, LexCorp, and other manufacturers rooted in DC lore.
Players will recruit other DC personalities to help with a variety of customization options as well, such as Gizmo, a scientist and inventor who can air-drop armored flying vehicles that can be used in combat; Toyman, the tech boy-genius who can enhance gear based on different playstyles; and Hack, a digital astral projection who can hack the Squad’s neck bombs to upgrade and customize each character’s skills.
The video also introduces a familiar DC Super-Villain in Poison Ivy who is depicted in a whole new light. In Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Poison Ivy has been reimagined as a child skilled at creating biological toxins that can aid players by applying elemental afflictions to their melee weapons and grenades.
Additionally, Rocksteady recently confirmed that the team is aiming to add an offline story mode post-launch in 2024 giving players the option to experience the main campaign without an internet connection. More details will be provided at a later date.
