It’s claimed that Rocksteady is returning to the Batman franchise and is currently developing a new video game.
Of course, the news follows the massive failure of Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League which in part led to a $200 million loss at Warner Bros. Games.
The rumor came about on Batman Day on X when the The Game Awards first tweeted: “Name your dream game developer for the next Batman game.”
Nick Baker of Xbox Era who previously posted accurate scoops and rumors fired back, “Not sure which studio people’s dream is, but I heard Rocksteady are back making it. I also think Sony are trying to moneyhat it lol.”
By “moneyhat,” Baker likely means Sony wants the new Batman video game to be Sony PS5 or even PS6 exclusive.

When a fan commented it could be a remaster of Rocksteady’s previous Arkham games, Baker shot back, “Not sure why you doubt it but I heard new game.”
