Spoilers follow for tonight's mid-season finale of Arrow.

Following tonight's episode which saw the return of Laurel at the end, Stephen Amell took to Facebook to hold a live Q&A where he touched upon the return of Black Canary.

"Obviously people just don't come back from the dead, so there has to be some vetting process to make sure it actually is Laurel because the group has seen some peculiar things, but we delve into that when we come back in the new year," Amell said.

A fan remarked that everybody returns on the show, which saw Stephen Amell disagree.

"Well that's not true, where's Tommy?" Amell said and whispered," Love you Colin, 'kay. Miss you every day."

As the DC TV universe has expands with flying aliens from Krypton and aliens invading the Earth, not to mention people returning from the dead, Stephen Amell insinuates the return of Laurel will be done to the tone of the Arrow series.

"It can all have an Arrow spin to it, which I think is critically important," Amell said.

Another fan remarked it would be awesome if Laurel returns as her Black Canary persona, with Amell agreeing and referencing the comic books, which we can speculate is the reason for the return of Laurel to Arrow.

"And I agree. Lots of consternation within the fan base about what's important… the Black Canary in the GreenArrowverse… If you are just getting into the canon of Green Arrow, the comic book character, not necessarily the show, but the comic book character, Black Canary is easily the most important feature next to the Green Arrow. Period. Full Stop. Forever. So it would be very nice to have the Black Canary back. I would agree with that," Amell said.

A fan also remarked he wants to see Ollie back with Laurel again which caused Amell to smile and shrug.
