Ron Howard Shows Off Destroyed R2 Droid; Teases Chewy & Empire

Han Solo director Ron Howard has been posting set images and video on Instagram with the latest being a look at the “rough corner of the galaxy” as well as teases for Chewbacca and the Empire.

Ron Howard posted two Star Wars videos, one on Twitter and one on Instagram, with the latter revealing an R2 unit in what looks to have become a grill!

The head of the R2 unit is missing with a grill on top and a fire in its body. Wonder what they are cooking?

The other images include a behind-the-scenes look at Ron Howard with footage of Chewbacca, and another image features an Imperial helmet with Howard adding, “The Empire looms large.”

The untitled Han Solo film is slated for a May 25, 2018 release directed by Ron Howard starring Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Woody Harrelson as Becket, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, with Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Michael Kenneth Williams in unknown roles.
