Rendel 2 Announced

The Finnish superhero film, Rendel, is getting a sequel!

A sequel has been confirmed with Raven Banner Entertainment back on board to release the film.

The original film follows a man blinded by his desire for revenge and hatred seeking revenge and fighting against VALA, a huge criminal organization.

Rendel 2 will be shot in early 2019, and director Jesse Haaja will return to direct the sequel.

Raven Banner specializes in genre films and handled sales for the first movie, which was released in sixty countries.

“I can’t even describe how excited I am for this,” Haaja said. “It was my lifelong dream to get Rendel to the big screens. Can’t wait to get back to work with the guys at Raven Banner, Black Lion and Frozen Flame. Everything has been working so well with these guys since the beginning that I’m absolutely sure that we’ll bring a bigger, stronger, badder Rendel to the fans.”

The first Rendel can be watched on Amazon. Check out the trailer below.

A dark avenger is born when a worldwide corporation known as VALA launches an untested vaccine called Nh25 into the market by bribing, threatening, and killing every official opposing them. Rendel unleashes his own special kind of hell against VALA, threatening to put an end the distribution of Nh25 As blood spills and the money burns, VALA recruits a group of mercenaries to do what they seemingly can’t, eliminate Rendel permanently. The first superhero film from Finland, RENDEL, is based on the comic book character created by director, Jesse Haaja.
