Powerless Gets The Axe!

Powerless Gets The Axe!

The first DC comedy TV series, Powerless, gets the axe from NBC!

NBC actually pulled Powerless from the Thursday night schedule prior to finishing its first season.

Superstore has now taken Powerless‘ 8:30/7:30c timeslot.

Ratings are low for Powerless, around 2 million, and two episodes have yet to be aired, which includes one with Batman TV actor Adam West.

It’s unknown if the Adam West Powerless episode will even air.

Powerless attempted to bring in the Batman crowd as it featured Vanessa Hudgens’ character as Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security; however, we see the fans really never took to the series.

Powerless executive producer Patrick Schumacker tweeted out the cancellation yesterday.

With Powerless being cancelled, it remains to be seen if Marvel TV’s comedy series, New Warriors, will be a hit, though New Warriors is airing on the ABC teen Freeform network, so more than likely it won’t need that high of ratings.
