Pokemon: Detective Pikachu Logo Revealed

Warner Bros. has officially revealed the logo for the upcoming live-action Pokemon movie, Detective Pikachu.

The big reveal was made at the Pokemon World Championships in Nashville, TN where it was also revealed that the flick will have a big battle between Pikachu and Charizard.

The film has a May 10, 2019 release directed by Rob Letterman and stars Deadpool‘s Ryan Reynolds as the voice of the titular character, Kathryn Newton as Lucy, Ken Watanabe as Detective Yoshida, Justice Smith as Tim Goodman, with Bill Nighy and Suki Waterhouse.

The plot has been said to follow Smith’s character’s father who has been kidnapped, which forces the teen to team up with Detective Pikachu in order to find him. Newton’s character is a sassy journalist who helps them on their quest.

Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel writer Nicole Perlman co-wrote the script with Letterman.

A Detective Pikachu Nintendo 3DS video game was also released earlier this year.

Warner Bros. provided three different sizes of the Detective Pikachu logo, which can be found below.
