Ahead of Friday’s NYCC trailer, Legendary and Universal have released new images for Pacific Rim Uprising.
This week also saw the official synopsis released, a viral countdown War Clock with a look at the Kaiju, Jaeger blueprint posters and character posters.
“The Kaiju have found a new way,” John Boyega offers. “They are way more intelligent than we thought they were. The monsters you saw in the first movie were the test run, to see how the planet would hold up. The breach we thought was closed is not their only way into our world. Their plans are more specific. Jake leads the team in trying to build up a new defense against that.”
The Pacific Rim Uprising panel takes place Friday from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, so be sure to return for the trailer then.
“Pacific Rim Uprising” has a March 23, 2018 release directed by Steven S. DeKnight starring John Boyega as Jake Pentecost, Scott Eastwood as Nate Lambert; Rinko Kikuchi as Mako Mori; Charlie Day as Dr. Newton Geiszler; Tian Jing as Liwen Shao, and Burn Gorman as Dr. Hermann.
