Actor and comedian Orlando Jones wants to play Black Lightning for DC Comics.
Jones lit up Twitter earlier when he asked DC Comics if he could play the character, which was quickly followed by support and retweets from fans.
Black Lightning is one of DC’s first superheroes of African descent that has the ability to manipulate electromagnetic phenomena.
With Warner Bros. moving forward with a whole slate of Justice League movies, maybe there will be room for Black Lightning.
Orlando Jones is known for MADtv, Sleepy Hallow and Tainted Love.
