James Gunn shows off Creature Commandos Booth

The head of the DCU, James Gunn, takes to social media to show off the Creature Commandos booth on the floor of the NYCC.

“Had so much fun visiting the booth. Can’t wait for Saturday’s panel!” Gunn posted on social media.

The Creature Commandos booth features artwork from the upcoming DCU animated series that hits HBO and Max in December. A fan also posted an image of himself at the booth surrounded by the characters. The Creature Commandos panel takes place Saturday from 4:45 p.m.-5:45 p.m. featuring can’t-miss sneak peeks from the first title kicking off the new DC Universe.

AMC Networks Sets January 5 Premiere for Mayfair Witches Season 2

At New York Comic Con, AMC Networks announced that the second season of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches will debut on January 5, 2025, on AMC and AMC+. The announcement was made during a panel featuring executive producer Mark Johnson, showrunner Esta Spalding, and cast members Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa, and Alyssa Jirrels. Fans were also treated to an early screening of the season premiere, along with the release of new promotional photos.

Season two continues Rowan Mayfair’s (Alexandra Daddario) journey as she grapples with the consequences of giving birth to the demon Lasher (Jack Huston) and confronts new challenges to protect her family.

Disney Announces Cast for New Season of Phineas and Ferb

Today at New York Comic Con, Disney Branded Television confirmed the voice cast for the much-anticipated new season of Phineas and Ferb. Co-creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh will reunite with the original cast, including Vincent Martella (Phineas), David Errigo Jr. (Ferb), Ashley Tisdale (Candace), Caroline Rhea (Linda), Dee Bradley Baker (Perry), and Alyson Stoner (Isabella).

The upcoming season, set to debut next year on Disney Channel and Disney+, will feature new celebrity cameos and continue following the stepbrothers’ inventive summer adventures, along with Candace’s attempts to bust them and Perry’s secret life as Agent P.

Phineas and Ferb, a five-time Emmy® winner, remains a beloved animated series that first premiered in 2008 and has been a global hit on Disney+.

Marvel Booth Reveals HERBIE from Fantastic Four, Harrison Ford Red Hulk

Artwork on display at the Marvel Booth at NYCC reveals a first look at HERBIE from The Fantastic Four: First Steps which gets released on July 25, 2025.

The art also features a new look at Harrison Ford as the Red Hulk from Captain America: Brave New World which gets released on February 14, 2025.

The banner art also features comic book art, a look at Anthony Mackie, Thunderbolts (May 2, 2025), Agatha: All Along, and What If…?

Marvel Announces Ultimate Wolverine Series

At New York Comic Con, Marvel revealed Ultimate Wolverine, a new series launching in January 2025. Written by Chris Condon and illustrated by Alessandro Cappuccio, the series features Wolverine as an unwilling weapon controlled by the Maker, the secret creator of the Ultimate Universe. Mindwiped and used as an assassin, Wolverine is still the best at what he does, even if he’s not in control.

The series debuts following a prelude in Ultimate Universe: One Year In #1, setting the stage for the next year of stories.

Ultimate Wolverine #1 goes on sale January 15.

Marvel Announces ‘Rise of Emperor Doom’ Series

At New York Comic Con, Marvel revealed details about One World Under Doom, a new overarching storyline where Doctor Doom becomes Earth’s Sorcerer Supreme and takes control of the world. The event kicks off with Rise of Emperor Doom, a five-issue series by Ryan North and R.B. Silva, launching in February. The story will explore Doom’s reign and its impact across the Marvel Universe. Earth’s heroes form a strike team to challenge Doom’s rule, but some begin to accept him as Emperor.

Rise of Emperor Doom #1 goes on sale February 12.

Marvel Launches Astonishing Infinity Comics Line on Marvel Unlimited

Marvel Unlimited has introduced a new Astonishing line of Infinity Comics, starting with Astonishing Spider-Man. The first two issues are available now for free, no login required. Written by Scott Aukerman and drawn by Salva Espin, the series places Spider-Man in dire situations that challenge his sense of responsibility.

Following Astonishing Spider-Man, Astonishing X-Men launches in December, and Astonishing Avengers follows in January 2025. These Infinity Comics are exclusive to Marvel Unlimited and designed for mobile reading.

Daredevil: Born Again costumes on display

Daredevil: Born Again Costumes On Display At NYCC 2024

The New York Comic-Con kicks off today with a look at the Daredevil: Born Again costumes. Fans who got an early look shared images of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil suit and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk suit. Artwork reflecting Hell’s Kitchen, NYC, is also on display behind the costumes.

Though the cast and series won’t be attending NYCC, Marvel announced these booth displays for Daredevil: Born Again. No panel has been scheduled, with reveals likely being saved for later. A leaked trailer from D23 can be also watched.
