Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige once again confirms no plans for incorporating any of the Marvel TV characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Allocine questioned Kevin Feige if there were plans to use the Marvel TV characters in the MCU, which Feige said:
Maybe someday. No plans right now. Maybe some day, but we have a lot of charcters in the MCU, and one of the things that is so special about those characters on the Netflix shows is their dynamic together. They are all combining to the Defenders later this year and are doing their own thing.
Regarding why there is a disconnect between the two, it’s been said to be because of Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter and his Marvel Comics Creative Committee, which consists of Alan Fine, Dan Buckley, Joe Quesada, Brian Bendis and to an extent Head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb. According to reports, Perlmutter and the MCCC interfered with the MCU, which saw Kevin Feige have them removed from being involved in further MCU movies. Marvel Studios and Marve TV are essentially two different companies at Disney.
We can probaly speculate that the “maybe someday” that Kevin Feige refers to regarding Marvel TV crossing over with Marvel Studios is when Perlmutter and the MCCC are no longer at Disney.
I’ve stated before, the entire Marvel brand would be much better under Kevin Feige’s control.
