New details were learned about Captain Marvel at Comic-Con in that the movie would be set in the ’90s featuring Brie Larson as Carol Danvers battling the skrulls–and apparently going missing.
So how the heck is Marvel supposed to deal with the return of Captain Marvel in The Avengers: Infinity War on top of Thanos and all the Avengers characters?
Well, they don’t.
ComicBook.com caught up with The Avengers: Infinity War director Joe Russo who says: “She’s not in Avengers 3.”
Joe Russo didn’t say anything about no Captain Marvel for Avengers 4, so at least there is that.
The Captain Marvel movie actually comes out two months prior to Avengers 4, so the end of the movie could always see Captain Marvel coming back to the present day, and then featured in Avengers 4.
The Avengers: Infinity War has a May 4, 2018 release; Captain Marvel hits March 8, 2019, and Avengers 4 has a May 3, 2019 release.
