Disney released the New Mutants trailer featuring a first look at footage in two years.
The movie was basically placed on hiatus pending the outcome of the Disney Fox deal, so with Disney purchasing Fox, Disney decided to go with director Josh Boone’s original version and vision.
Reportedly, Fox execs and Simon Kinberg retooled New Mutants to their own liking, but Disney decided against that.

Synopsis:
20th Century Fox in association with Marvel Entertainment presents “The New Mutants,” an original horror thriller set in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants is being held for psychiatric monitoring. When strange occurrences begin to take place, both their new mutant abilities and their friendships will be tested as they battle to try and make it out alive.
