New High-Res Suicide Squad Images; Ayer & Affleck Talk Batman

In addition the new Batman Vs. Superman images, high-res pics for Suicide Squad have been released in addition to comments from director David Ayer and Ben Affleck.

David Ayer on Suicide Squad:

“We all need good guys and everything — yay, good guys — but at the end of the day, they’re kinda boring,” the Fury director says. “They’re always going to do the right thing. When you’re dealing with the baddies, it’s easy to get ahead of the audience and invert expectations.”

David Ayer on Jared Leto’s Joker:

…which also showcases a Joker played by Leto who transcends being bad or even evil, Ayer says. “He’s the king of Planet Joker.”

David Ayer on Batman in Suicide Squad:

“We made him fight,” the director says with a laugh. “He’s awesome (as Batman). … You really sense that but for the grace of God he himself would be doing some really foul stuff out in the world.”

Ben Affleck on Suicide Squad:

“It felt like I have such a cool cousin. This thing that is so awesome is somehow related to me, and that was really exciting because it started to feel like a constellation of things, and I’ve never had that feeling.”

“Suicide Squad” has an August 5, 2016 release date directed by David Ayer starring Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Adam Beach as Slipknot, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, and Scott Eastwood in an unknown role.
