Netflix Quickly Announces Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2

Netflix has quickly announced a Season 2 for Castlevania: Nocturne which follows the series debuting only a week ago on the streaming service.

The news is rather surprising as again the series only debuted a week ago and the show is coming with controversy as the Rotten Tomatoes Audience Score is only at 45% as fans hate it.

However, apparently, a lot of people watched the show in its first week (the first Castlevania has four seasons), otherwise, why would Netflix be so quick to greenlight a Season 2?

Netflix released an announcement video with the news that Season 2 is actually already in production.

Castlevania: Nocturne will return for a Season 2. The project is currently in production,” confirms the video description.

With Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 already in production, it makes you wonder if they went into production prior to the release of Season 1. Since the first Castlevania series is so well-liked by fans, maybe Netflix greenlit Season 2 ahead of time and didn’t account for the negative reception to Season 2?

Anyway, Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 is happening.
