Did Tenoch Huerta Just Tease, “I’ll Be Back?!“
Tenoch Huerta posted an interesting image on his Instagram Story featuring RoboCop and Terminator alongside the synthwave track “On The Run” by TimeCop1983. The post also includes a caption (translated): “Whoever produces, records, edits, and distributes our imagination about the future has control over our desires.”
The combination of the image, music, and text seems to highlight the power of controlling narratives, which could be Huerta reflecting on his own controversies—or perhaps even hinting at his return to Marvel and the MCU.
Who Is Marvel’s Fantastic Four Mystery Character?
Marvel’s upcoming Fantastic Four movie has teased a mystery character, with many speculating it could be Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.
Rumors suggest Doom may hail from the same Multiverse Earth as the Fantastic Four themselves. However, another possibility is the return of Tenoch Huerta as Namor, last seen in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Fans know Namor has significant ties to the Fantastic Four in the comics, particularly with Invisible Woman (played by Vanessa Kirby). Namor’s history with the FF includes his romantic pursuit of Sue Storm, a storyline that could easily tie into the film. It has already been rumored that Sue isn’t happy with Reed, where it is said Reed is holding her back in the film.
Adding to the speculation, a Vanessa Kirby fan account (possibly run by her PR team) recently posted a photo from what’s reportedly the Fantastic Four wrap party in London. In the image, Pedro Pascal can be seen alongside an unidentified man whose face is obscured. This could be Robert Downey Jr., but it may very well be Tenoch Huerta. A glass of Peroni beer seen in the photo raises doubts it’s RDJ, who has been sober for years. While the beer could be non-alcoholic or belong to someone else, the mystery of the identity of the actor still remains.

Huerta’s Recent Silence and Controversy
Since June 2023, Huerta has largely stayed under the radar following sexual assault allegations by saxophonist María Elena Ríos. Notably, no charges or lawsuits have been filed against him.
The allegations happened to follow an earlier controversy when Huerta met with then-Mexican president Andrés Manuel López Obrador in April 2023, prompting a public statement from the actor addressing the backlash.
Tenoch Huerta attends Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine premiere
Recently, Huerta did make a quiet appearance at Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine premiere in New York City this past July, which seems to have gone unnoticed by most fans.
He can also be seen alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, which obviously suggests his relationship with Marvel remains intact and is positive.
Addressing the Allegations and Marvel Future
In August 2024, Huerta broke his silence during an interview, opening up about how the allegations affected his career and personal life. He described losing work, friendships, and peace of mind but maintained his innocence. He also briefly touched upon Marvel, offering his relationship with Disney, Marvel and other American studios could resume.
“My career was affected, but it’s still moving forward. I don’t know what will happen. That’s not up to me anymore, but I hope everything keeps moving forward,” Huerta said (translated).
What’s Next for Tenoch Huerta?
Could Marvel’s mystery character in Fantastic Four mark Tenoch Huerta’s return as Namor? With Namor’s deep ties to the Fantastic Four and Huerta’s career showing signs of recovery, the possibility remains open. For now, Marvel fans are left guessing who the secret character might be—and whether Huerta’s post was a cryptic nod to his comeback.
