MARVEL Cosmic Invasion Game Releases ‘Behind the Gameplay’ Trailer Ahead of Launch

Marvel, Dotemu, and Tribute Games have released a new Behind the Gameplay trailer for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, giving fans an inside look at how the retro-styled beat ’em up was crafted to feel like a classic arcade experience, while still delivering fresh gameplay for modern players.

Developers Break Down the Gameplay

In the trailer, the team at Tribute Games walks through how they approached the game’s design, balancing nostalgia and innovation. Drawing inspiration from classic ’90s arcade beat ’em ups, the developers explain how they fine-tuned movement, combos, and tag-team mechanics to keep the action fast, fluid, and rewarding.

The team also highlights the Cosmic Swap system, which lets players switch between two heroes on the fly mid-fight to create unique combos and strategies—something rarely seen in old-school brawlers.
